She has been in love with jewelry making since childhood, but only in 2015 she took her passion to a professional level. She studied manufacture in Italy and jewellery & object design in Australia. Valeria’s work combines traditional techniques and 3D print, choosing to hand finish every piece to a unique one-off item.

 
-When did you start dedicating yourself to the world of contemporary jewelry?
I have always loved creating jewelry, but in 2015, after finishing my design diploma in Sydney, I completely dedicated myself to the world of contemporary jewelery. I love creating conceptual yet wearable jewels, because I believe that wearing any form of art is the highest expression of oneself.
 
- What do you draw most inspiration from when you start creating a new collection?
It depends, each of my collections is inspired by a different concept. The Vertigo series is based on the Fibonacci spiral and the golden sexione and of course it has many influences from architecture and urban landscapes. The Rainforest series instead is inspired by tropical and carnivorous plants and flowers, especially those with monstrous aspects but sensual and gaudy colors. The Bloom collection, on the other hand, comes from a memory of me as a child who, impatient to wait for spring, loved to crush the flower buds before they opened up to find out what color they could be.
 
 
- What kind of work or material do you prefer?
I prefer new technologies like 3D printing for design, but I think the best results are achieved by combining innovation and tradition. Silver and nylon are the materials that I like the most, especially using them together. I love the contrast between different materials, the cold of the metal and the teture of the nylon, the oxidized silver and the bright colors of the hand-dyed nylon.
 
- What were the services / opportunities that most pushed you to participate in the event?
The idea of ​​the book being sold in many European bookshops that always has the charm of printed paper.
