Paola was born in 1975 in Colombia and her journey trough jewelry begins with studies in Design at the Scuola Italiana Design from Padua, Italy; for later going into detail about her knowledge  with different jewellers and designers of the area.
AZABAYA is where creations are conceived, it explores handmade work  to create small series of jewels that tell stories through materials with pieces that are willing to become little works of art to wear in the body.

Some of her jewels are inspired in nature, poetry or colors.
The last set “Red”, explores the spirit of the color, observing it into nature as well as in the relationship that mankind has build around it through centuries, for later translating it into jewels and fashion complements.



Red Series
This is about a small set of jewels where color is the start point to get to the form, taking notice of the natural elements that surround us.
For red the inspiration goes beyond, to speak about ancient cultures and their relationship with the spiritual world: it portrays the original energy that rises from the heart of the earth into color variations as in a ritual dance.



Jewels are made in silver, garnets, copper and patina.
Some pieces within this set are: red earings, red brooch, totem earings and totem necklace.
