WINNER OF THE ARTISTAR JEWELS 2018 CONTEST
Art teacher, he graduated in gemology and applied arts. Since 1983 he has participated in art design, sculpture and design competitions. He was later interested in other materials experimenting new techniques. He has collaborated as an art director for several companies and in 1991 he founded Extreme Gioielli.
When did you start dedicating yourself to the world of contemporary jewelery?
My artistic life began very early, I have always sought creative originality and use with precious gems but also the search for uncommon materials to try to awaken their nature. Styles are always simpler, constantly evolving, research, experimentation, knowledge and deepening of the subject.
What do you get the most from when you started creating a new collection?
Inspiration is evolution. From the gems, from their shape it is all a becoming. From the sinuous body of a woman, from nature or a simple scribble, everything can inspire. Very often the idea arrives for a play on words, other times it is studied on paper. The challenge with myself is the realization of objects that capture the attention with imagination and pleasure.
What kind of work or material do you prefer?
My many years of experience has brought me a space with the most precious gems, one of which I have always tried to enhance their beauty, to the humble materials to which I gave life enhancing their incongruity and natural beauty the most varied processes, often mixing talent with knowledge.
What are your points of reference in the world of contemporary jewelry and art?
The taste of beauty finds inspiration from the future to be contemporary in the future. Creating an innovative jewel in shapes and materials that transmits emotion to the eyes and the heart, has never been so simple, in any other way, it is always simpler and in search of amazement and novelties.

What's in jewels that were on show this year? Have you been fascinated by any particular creation?
The jewels on display have come from the artist's mind, always looking for stimuli and innovation that try to blend geometric concepts with elements of nature with materials and works with a concrete or bizarre meaning.
Each object recalls the expression with which the artist wants to give light of himself or spread a message. Some pieces were worthy of interest for the fusion of still and materials. Everyone in his uniqueness aroused attention to particularity, inspiration, conceptuality, innovation and a just reason he was selected by artist.
How would you define the atmosphere created on the 22nd and 23rd February nights of Artistar Jewels 2018?
Taking part in the evening event in a historic building has made the atmosphere more warm and fascinating. The presence of many personalities of the world, fashion and printing has made the show competitive and captivating.
Would you recommend to other artists participating in Artistar Jewels?
Yes, it is an event that grows year by year and offers great visibility. Participating is always a challenge but also an opportunity to get in touch with the artists, the possibility of new collaborations and participation in exhibitions in galleries and international events. This is the end of a project of development of the author's jewel.
What were the services / opportunities that prompted you to attend the event?
Today it is increasingly important, also linked to the Milan fashion week, you can experience the inspiration of the artists always looking for originality and global visibility.
