She is a jewelry maker, born in 1990 in Saxony, Germany, and now based in Bavaria. She is working with glass on the bohemian lamp as it is typical for the Gablonzer Industries and with porcelain in a traditional way. Anne’s jewels are mostly bright, shiny and organic.
- When did you start dedicating yourself to the world of contemporary jewelry?
When I started my education as an engraver at a school for jewellers - that was also the first time I get in contact with contemporary jewelry. But at this time I actually was more excited about engravings and print techniques, before I fell in love with jewellery.
- What do you take inspiration from when you start creating a new collection?
My inspiration is nature - especially the colors of flowers and structures.
- What kind of work or material do you prefer?
I love to work with glass because of the brightness of the material! And porcelain because of all the patience you need to get a result.
- What are your points of reference in the world of contemporary jewelry and art?
The galleries and exhibitions in Vienna are my favorites and I love to see the old art nouveau jewellery there.
- Three words with which you would describe the Artistar Jewels project.
Innovative. Exciting. Italian. :)
-What do you think of the jewels that were on show this year? Have you been fascinated by any particular creation?
I was fascinated about all the fantastic ideas and materials - there were not only the metal/ gold and silver stuff but even a lot of exciting materials!
- How would you define the atmosphere created on the 22nd and 23rd February nights of Artistar Jewels 2018?
It was a familiar and very casual atmosphere were I could make a lot of new contacts and great talks!
- Would you recommend to other artists to take part in Artistar Jewels?
Seeing so many people from around the world and all the contacts - even if you wont win, it is a great experience!
- What were the services / opportunities that most pushed you to participate in the event?
Oh... I just heard Milano fashion week and you get me at this point!
