Adriana and Francesca founded the brand in 2014 after a decade of experience. Their research is based on the idea of a contemporary and wearable jewel. The design economy and the large volumes are the founding principles of their work. Starting from the models up to the finishing, the jewels are handmade.

- When did you start dedicating yourself to the world of contemporary jewelry?
My approach to contemporary jewelry dates back to 10/12 years ago. I was born as a great observer. The best way to learn is to observe. There are some manual practices that I have been observing so much that when I first practiced them I find out that I was already so good! But in contemporary jewelry, my role is more like a designer than an artisan, although I do not deny that many jewels are handmade by me. Indeed, more and more.
 
- What do you draw most inspiration from when you start creating a new collection?
My inspiration is totally free. I can let myself be inspired by a concept or a value, by a geometrical form or by a certain processing methodology. Fortunately, I have many ideas in mind.
 
 
- What kind of work or material do you prefer?
I prefer to work silver because it is extremely malleable, generous, it is fully offered. Some materials lend themselves more to some processes. We are currently working with different metals, besides silver such as copper, bronze, combined with Plexiglas.
 
- What are your points of reference in the world of contemporary jewelry and art?
Antonio Bernardo, Brazilian, for the mechanical quality of his design. Monies, architect, for the courage to propose large volumes and the research of materials, Antonio Pinedo, Mexican, who despite going back to the 50's was extremely avant-garde in jewelry design. Margot De Taxco, Mexican, for the macro version of details taken from nature and shaped in jewels. In the art world the precursor artists of kinetic art are the Venezuelans Carlos Cruz Diez, Jesus Soto and Alejandro Otero.
 
 
- Three words with which you would describe the project Artistar Jewels: Window on the world.
 
- What do you think of the jewels that were on show this year? Have you been fascinated by any particular creation?
I find that they were unique, difficult to classify, very different from each other and this is what convinced me themost. There were different interpretations and different conceptions of the jewel: for this reason it was interesting because the works were not chosen according to currents, trends, fashions, etc. More than in love with a jewel in particular I was surprised by different processing methods.
 
- Would you recommend to other artists to take part in Artistar Jewels?
Undoubtedly, it is a window open to other worlds in which those who conceive jewels must be able to look out.
